Little Card Of Horrors
Head in the Clouds

Hello, I’m Chaz Marler from Pair Of Dice Paradise, and yesterday I received a delivery of games I’d purchased on sale the week before. As with any new batch of games, I sat down to start combing through their bits and pieces, but my plans were cut short when I discovered an oddity within my Secret Wars expansion for Marvel Legendary. You see…

I was opening my whole sale delivery that day
And I picked up this box from this Marvel Legendary game
They sometimes sell me weird and exotic expansions
'Cause they know, you see that, well, board games are my hobby
They didn't include anything unusual there in that game
So I was just about to, you know, sleeve ‘em up
When suddenly and without warning
There was this
Totally blank pack of cards
They seemed like a lark
And there was this strange lack documentation
Like some kind of printing error
And when I opened the box these weird cards were just sitting there
Just, you know, stuck in, among the Zombie Green Goblins
I coulda sworn they hadn't been in expansions before
But Upper Deck sold 'em to me anyways, for thirty-nine ninety-five

Was this pack of blank cards a printing error? I checked the instructions and the box they came in, and nowhere in documentation is there a mention of this stack of blanks. And they’re not dividers, because previous sets have included dividers, which are a different size.

I’m sure there’s a logical explanation for why these cards were included, such as something to do with the logistics of how sheets of playing cards are printed and collated during fulfillment.

Or, perhaps someone at Upper Deck was just feeling that strange combination of generous, but unmotivated, and they really wanted to include something extra for the fans, but couldn’t muster up the effort to include some additional characters, or schemes, or bystanders, or wounds, or dividers, or rules quick reference, or blank cards with a white side you can write stuff on it.

The best I can surmise is that they’re a free “thank you” gift for purchasing the expansion?

“Here, guy, thanks for buying our game. As a way to say thanks, here’s some blanks that you can use for something.”

Such as?

“Shhh. Let’s not talk.”

So… I thought I’d ask you guys… are we going to Suddenly Seymour of this in the future? What have you used these blank cards for?!?

(OTHER VOICE: OFF SCREEN:) “I said no talking.”
