Coupon Codes, Contest, and Hoppin' & Poppin' news!
The Silver Lining
Updated: Wednesday, Feb 10, 2016
Hello, Chaz Marler bringing you some news updates from behind the scenes here at Pair Of Dice Paradise. Wow, there's been a lot going on the passed couple weeks. Things are hoppin' and poppin'. At least they would be, if that was a real phrase that people said. But here's five things I want to share with you this week that actually are real:

First off, did you know that we have a super-easy to enter contest going on right now to win a copy of Portal Games' Neuroshima Convoy? That's right! Seriously, why would I lie? Do I look like the kind of person that would just make phrases up? The contest continues through Monday, February 15th. See this video from last week for complete details on how to enter the contest. And then enter it! And then possibly win!

But I'm not the only one who wants to give you stuff! To celebrate our new sponsorship by Top Shelf Gamer, they are making a coupon code for 10% off everything in their store available to Pair Of Dice Paradise viewers (that's you!) for the rest of February 2016. Simply enter the coupon code "CLOUDS" while checking out on their online store, and you'll find yourself awash in virtual online savings! So, thanks to Top Shelf Gamer for finding another way to be an awesome sponsor!

Also potentially awesome? DoubleSix Dice. This week, a Component Proponent review of DoubleSix Dice will be published on The Dice Tower's YouTube channel. Spoiler alert: I think they're neat. Also neat? The makers of DoubleSix Dice! Because when I contacted them while working on my video, they offered to provide Pair Of Dice Paradise viewers (that's you!) with a coupon code for 20% off their dice when you order them on their site, simply by entering the coupon code "CLOUDS" during the checkout process. "CLOUDS" again? I'm starting to see a pattern here. A pattern of obnoxious savings, that is!

Fourthly, I will be attending the GAMA tradeshow in March! The GAMA tradeshow isn't a typical board game convention; it's an event for publishers, designers, retailers and the press to preview many of the products, plans and events for the upcoming year. I'll be there to record as much footage as possible for The Dice Tower. And hey, I thought I'd ask if there's any board games on the horizon that the viewers (that's you!) would like me to try and get information on while I'm there? If so, let me know in the comments below. It's going to be a busy event, but do my best to investigate those games too, while things are hoppin' and poppin'!

Finally, I just wanted to mention something that I'm grateful for. If you pay as close attention to absolutely everything that Pair Of Dice Paradise does as I assume you do whlie I sit awake at night in misguided satisfaction, then you may know that one of the stretch goals for PoDP's Season 3 fundraiser was to raise enough to invest in a Zoom H4N audio recorder, to replace the wireless bluetooth mic that I've been using, which periodically pops and crackles, sometimes requiring retakes. Well, our Season 3 fundraiser on PodPledge is still quite a ways away from reaching that particular milestone, but, even so, you may have noticed a Zoom H4N being used in a couple recent videos.

Now, while I'd usually just explain away its presence by claming to be a podcaster from the 81st century who's travelling backwards through history, this time I want to actually give credit to a very generous viewer who gifted a Zoom H4N to the show, in order to make sure that I had access to one in time for the GAMA tradeshow. Now, the donor wanted to remain anonymous, so to honor that, I won't mention my wife's name on-air. I'll just say, "thank you, honey, for helping make it possible to improve the channel in this way. Especially with everything else that's going to be going on this year. I'm looking forward to helping you achieve the goals you've set for yourself too, over the months to come. Let's get things hoppin' and poppin'."

Well, that's all the newsy news bits I have for now. Thanks to everyone for continuing to watch and support Pair Of Dice Paradise. And for more board game reviews, commentary, and news from the upcoming GAMA tradeshow, be sure to subscribe to Pair Of Dice Paradise, and The Dice Tower, and follow us on Twitter and Facebook too. Thanks so much, and I'll talk to you again soon!
